This Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course has no experience or education requirements. The Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt is aimed at candidates who have a small role, interest, or need to develop foundational knowledge.

  • The Structure of Six Sigma (DMAIC process) and the Yellow Belt’s role
  • Understanding and Developing the SIPOC Diagram
  • How to calculate the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
  • Topics review and practical exercises applicable to your organization

Day # 2

  • Understanding data and its types
  • Basic Statistics (e.g. Mean, Median, mode, Standard Deviation & others)
  • Lean Concepts
  • Process Mapping and Value Stream Mapping
  • C&E Diagram
  • Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
  • Topics review and practical exercises applicable to your organization

Day # 3

  • Prioritizing with Data (Pareto Chart)
  • Standardized Work
  • Error proofing (or Poka Yoke)
  • Understanding the Control Plan
  • Basics of advance planning tools
  • VA and NVA
  • Topics review and practical exercises applicable to your organization

Workshop Wrap-Up

At the end of the course, students will have an opportunity to ask questions and fill out an action plan.
